We are proud to be from Hilo on the Big Island of Hawai'i. Our connection to our heritage runs deep and is a very important part of who we are. Pineapple Grill Texas is more than a restaurant; it's a heartfelt endeavor to share not only our delicious cuisine, but our rich culture and language. With every dish we serve, we aim to transport you to the shores of Hawai'i.



Welcome to Pineapple Grill Texas, a family-run restaurant with Hawaiian roots. Established in 2017, we began our journey as a humble food trailer, doing special events and catering. In 2018, we proudly expanded to a brick and mortar location in Hurst, TX, allowing us to bring a taste of Hawaii to our local community.

Meet the passionate minds behind Pineapple Grill Texas, Barry and Pomai Uyehara. Originating from Hilo, Hawai'i on the beautiful Big Island. With over 25 years of culinary expertise, Chef Barry brings his hometown to every dish. Pomai is the glue that holds everything together. They are the spam musubi of this restaurant. Without one or the other...it's just rice.

Our vision has always extended beyond the plate. We've cultivated Pineapple Grill Texas to be a gathering place, where everyone from all walks of life can come together. Creating a community has always been the heart of our mission. Through food we strive to bridge the gap between the Lone Star State and the Aloha spirit.
